samsung used to upload photos fine, but now when i plug in camera just comes up blank removable disk. help? i have a samsung SL102. used to upload photos fine, would come up a few options and i would select view files in a folder. now, every time i plug it in to my computer with the USB cable, it just automatically comes up, Local Disk (E:) and in it, its blank. the camera wont load on my computer anymore, so i cant upload my photos.
1) Are the drivers for the camera still intact? (e.g. if you uninstall and reinstall them, you might find the file-handling starts to work again)
2) Do you have a spare memory card that you can swap into the camera to test it out? (it’s possible that the memory card, if using the standard FAT16 or FAT32 file system, was accidentally reformatted to a different file system or set to "write protect" then the camera may not be able to store the images on the card. It’s likely, however, that it would give you an error message of some kind. Beyond that, you can try using the camera (not your computer) to wipe and initialize the card fresh, but you’ll lose any pictures you think might be on the card. ‘Best to get a spare)
3) The camera is sufficiently broken (or needs its firmware replaced) so that it can’t write to *any* memory card. References :

Are you formatting the card using the format feature on your camera after each time you copy your images to your computer?
Are you telling us that when the data on the memory card is accessed as Local Disk E: that there is nothing in the either of the two file folders?
Have you tried using a card reader?
